Off the coast of Côte de Granit Rose, between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel, lies the Sept-Îles archipelago, undisputed kingdom of seabirds. This group of rocky islands has been a protected natural site since 1912 and was classified as a Nature Reserve in 1976.
Imagine thousands of gannets, hundreds of puffins, crested cormorants, razorbills, common guillemots, northern fulmars, great black-backed, herring and brown gulls… nestling in the hollows of the rocks.
The Sept-Îles archipelago is home to 27 species of breeding birds, including 15 seabird species, totalling over 23,000 pairs. Île Rouzic is home to France’s only colony of gannets.
A group of around thirty grey seals live permanently on this nature reserve.
On the way back, you’ll follow the famous Pink Granite Coast, a granite massif sculpted by erosion over 300 million years ago.
From Perros-Guirec: daily departures (morning and afternoon) from April to September. Possible stopover on Île aux Moines (access via a rope bridge).
Depending on weather conditions and demand, departures during the All Saints’ school holidays. Booking recommended.
From Trégastel and Ploumanac’h: departures in July and August.
Other excursions: departures to the Ile de Bréhat in July, August and during June and September, depending on sea conditions.
Please note: in July and August, allow extra time for parking. Ferry terminal open all year round.
Pets are only allowed on non-stop excursions.
